Andrew Weatherall is the underground innovator known for remoulding Primal Scream's sound, remixing artists like Bjork, New Order, My Bloody Valentine and basically changing the face of London Clubbing. Lucky for us, the electronic veteran is currently touring the country and will be playing at the Sydney Festival's Speilgetent as well as at Oxford Arts Factory for Picnic's One Night Stand. We asked the mix master for a playlist, and make us one he did. The theme is his own 'pre-Acid House' nostalgia, so you know it's going to be good.

"This is part of the soundtrack to my pre-Acid House clubbing years from the age of fifteen through to my early twenties. The venues I went to included Slough Centre soul all-nighters, Le Beat Route, the Wag and warehouse parties in long forgotten subterranean locations. This playlist is dedicated to Catriona Beddoes, Jull Taylor and Sandra Hughes — for whom I mimed to a jukebox playing Soft Cell's 'What!' in a Bournemouth Cellar Bar"
