The Double Gone Chapel Rides Again, Red Rooster Festival 2019

on 21 Jun 2019
These are rips of the original source CDs AW used for his Double Gone Chapel Rides Again sets at House Des Lowe and The Golden Lion in 2019, also Red Rooster Festival 2019 (CDs 1 & 2).

Adam Grainger: At the Weatherall Weekender at Tod last year the Guv played this track in his Double Gone Chapel set on the Friday. Being relatively new to the ALFOS family I'm not as knowledgable about those sets as many on here but I knew this one, when I told him this was the first track I'd ever heard him play that I recognised he was delighted, "I'd much rather you recognise this than one of those bleepy ones that all sound the same" he said. He then found me the next night before the ALFOS set and gave me the CDs he'd been playing. RIP AW.

Matthew Humphreys: With Andrew it seemed to be 'all the little things' that meant the most. After producing an onslaught of rockabilly on the first night of the Weekender last summer, we were sat in the beer garden in our somewhat hazy states talking about the music he'd just played. On the Saturday he gave me the CDs to his set and I'll cherish that forever.

Richard Walker: I think the original plan was for him to do a 5hr set @ House Des Lowe & Jane Weaver & Andy Votel do the Golden Lion - but that changed - he came armed - good man.
