The Rev AJW Presents The Double Gone Chapel

on 2004
Mix given to Big Vern by AW. Double Gone Chapel was held at the Griffin pub in Shoreditch and AW used to DJ under the name the Rev AJW

From his SoundCloud page:
"This mix is off a CD given to me by The Major back in 2003/4. Once a month on a Sunday, The Double Gone Chapel was held in The Griffin, Leonard St, EC2A at a time when Shoreditch was still very underdeveloped and hadn't been taken over by mainstream culture as it is today.

Andrew would DJ under the name The Rev A.J.W. which would have been hand written on the chalk board outside. Going to the Chapel was a total inspiration for me at the time and started me on a musical journey that I'm still traveling on today. It is also a reminder to never forget the roots of where modern music came from.

Rest in peace Major, gone but not forgotten, Much Love Vern
